Welcome to MessageMapper 4

MessageMapper shall help to provide a better understanding of the interconnections between systems in a multi-system suite or enterprise architecture.

The following terminology is used in MessageMapper:

System

A logical system that is part of the suite and is sending or receiving information.

Host

A physical or virtual machine hosting one or more instances of a system.

Environment

A logical environment that is served by one ore more hosts and systems that inter-communicate with each other.

Information Flow

A meaningful exchange of information between two systems.

Control Flow

A physical "leg" of an information flow between two hosts.
